Postponed — but we will be back in 2027! 

The Isle of Wight Car Club has made the difficult decision to postpone the Sprint planned for October 2026 and reschedule it for the weekend of 17–18 April 2027. 

The Isle of Wight Council has been supportive of our request for a post-Easter date. At present, the new weekend does not clash with any known event, and we hope the English weather will be on our side. Moving the event gives us the best opportunity to deliver an outstanding experience for competitors and spectators alike. 

Working with new and valued sponsors, as well as a new events company, the sprint will be rebranded as the IOW Sprint. A new website, social media pages, and further announcements will follow in the coming weeks and months. Please watch this space and follow our social media channels, where all further announcements will be shared first. The sprint will remain part of the usual championships, and we welcome other clubs to include it as a round in their speed championships. Championship coordinators can contact us at sprint@iowcc.co.uk to discuss the event. We kindly ask you to share this update with your clubs and championship contenders, and to promote the IOW Sprint wherever possible. 

We would ask that any competitor enquiries are directed to the sprint@iowcc.co.uk email address rather than posted in the comments section as these can sometimes be missed and go unanswered for days.  

All general ticketing and spectating enquiries along with excellent sponsorship opportunities across the weekend need to be sent to info@iowsprint.co.uk. A range of exciting sponsorship packages will be available, and the team will be happy to discuss the options with you.
